You may have had #butter in your life. You may have even had good butter. But until you have had Échiré butter, you have not truly had the world's best.
I was introduced to #echire at L'Atelier Joël Robuchon. I had never tasted butter that was just, well, so... buttery! And the romance began. The problem became that once I had seen what real butter tasted like, it was almost impossible to go back to anything less. However, this is not a butter I would use for everyday cooking - but on bread (or in laminated doughs), it is just a little piece of heaven.
I have since introduced my husband to the joys of Échiré, and he continuously tells me he's going to order it on Amazon. But the price and quantity that you have to buy it in keep us from doing it. So until I decide to break the bank and open some freezer space, I will have to just keep walking around with the little sticker in my phone case reminding me of the restaurants I've been in that have it on their menu.
